AMRO WAS ESTABLISHED TO:
Encourage wider awareness within government, the business community and the general public of the value of market research; Act on behalf of and improve the public image of the market research industry; Support the aims and objectives of the Market Research Society of NZ.
To these ends AMRO has, since being established, carried out a number of activities including:
- Co-operation amongst members to improve the quality of research execution and reporting
- Co-ordination of relationships with non-commercial research organisations and other bodies such as Government departments
- Consultation with Government with regard to the establishment of the Privacy Act
- Establishment of a standard Interviewer ID card to assure the public of accountability
- Sponsorship and support for the activities of the Market Research Society including seminars, conferences and publications
- Implementation of IQS Interviewing Quality Standards for market research fieldwork in NZ
