What is the Market Research Society?

The MRSNZ is the professional body for anyone involved or interested in market research in New Zealand.

New Zealand's market research industry is world class. The Society is committed to further developing the standard of Market Research in New Zealand, both through internal standards and by promoting better understanding of the industry and its role.

The Society's main objectives are to:

  • Promote the use of marketing, social and opinion research in New Zealand;
  • Establish and maintain professional standards for this research;
  • Encourage the development of those involved or interested in market research through education and training;
  • Disseminate information on and facilitate discussion about developments in this field.

In today's increasingly competitive, dynamic environment it is paramount that marketers, researchers and others have the latest market information and understanding of consumer attitudes, beliefs and behaviour. In an information driven age it is those with the best consumer insights that will prosper.

We believe market research has a central role to play, enabling marketers, Government and other organisations and individuals to better understand and ultimately satisfy people's needs.
