PROFILE
Focus Research is a full service market research provider with an unusually high level of expertise, analytical capability and service delivery. We are outcomes-driven and have considerable expertise in advanced quantitative and qualitative research.
Central to our approach is the NeedScope® research system, an integrated tool developed by Focus for understanding and measuring consumer needs and brand image. As well as using NeedScope® in the New Zealand market, we license the system globally and provide support for users worldwide.
KEY PERSONNEL
Roz Calder Roz co-founded Focus Research in 1994 and brings over 20 years market research experience to the company. An ex president of AMRO and a Fellow of the MRSNZ, Roz now provides NeedScope consultancy to international clients and worldwide brands.
Michael Cook Co-founder of Focus Research, Michael has been activity involved in break-through motivational research developments since the 1980’s. He now works closely with international NeedScope partners and consults on global research projects.
Colin Ingram Colin applies a strong psychology background to FMCG and service markets. A fellow of the MRSNZ, he is one of the country’s most experienced researchers, working with blue chip companies in New Zealand and Australia, as well as consulting on projects in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Maria Tyrrell Maria is an ex president and Fellow of the MRSNZ. Maria’s career spans two decades and her expertise in strategic branding research derives from strengths in both qualitative and quantitative applications. Her reputation is well established within the local industry, as well as internationally, where she works with some of the worlds biggest multi-national FMCG marketers.
Anne John-Francke Anne’s background in law and marketing combined with almost 20 years research experience provides an unmatched level of rigour to the application of qualitative research. Anne has been instrumental in the company’s globally recognised innovations in qualitative techniques over the last decade.
Myles George Myles brings almost 15 years client side and research agency experience in New Zealand and the UK. With a strong marketing focus, Myles is now involved in the application of advanced research approaches for local as well as international NeedScope FMCG and service industry clients and partners.
