
Interviewing Quality Standards
AMRO has formalised the establishment of Interviewing Quality Standards (IQS) accreditation system in New Zealand.
The aims of IQS are to establish and maintain minimum standards for all aspects of market research interviewing, including its management, supervision, training, conduct and quality monitoring.
In setting up IQS in New Zealand, AMRO and the Market Research Society have consulted with the parallel organisation in Australia, MRQA which has established the similar IQCA system. Our structure and standards will be similar, though tailored to reflect the differences between the two countries.
IQS was launched in New Zealand in 1997, with auditors appointed and trained, and a number of accreditations audited and completed within the 1997 and 1998 calendar years.
IQS is formally governed by the 'IQS Council', which comprises two members nominated by AMRO and one member who is a representative of the Market Research Society of New Zealand.
